NAVELIM: St Rock YC Majorda got the better of Margao SC 7-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the late Jose Bento Furtado Memorial football tournament, played at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Christopher Borges opened the account for Margao in the 7th minute. Within twenty minutes Wellington D’Souza made it 2-0.
In the second half Alister Monteiro made it 1-2 for St Rock YC Majorda in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute Ismael Pathan levelled terms for Majorda.
In the tie-breaker, St Rock YC Majorda proved to be better shooters.
St Rock YC Majorda will meet Sporting Club Davorlim in the quarter-finals on November 1.
