RAIA: St Rock’s Youth Club, Calata, outplayed Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna 5-2 to enter into the quarter-finals of 8th Martin’s Cup football tournament organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club at panchayat ground, Betalbatim, on Sunday.
St Rock YC’s Oscar Braganza scored a brace, while Ashley Mendes, Beevan D’Mello and Yonan D’Silva scored one goal each. Clifton Rebello and Noel D’Silva reduced the margin for Rossman Cruz Nagoa.

Calangute
in semi-finals
Nuvem Veterans went down fighting against Calangute Veterans 4-3 margin via tie-breaker in the 2nd All-Goa Veterans football tournament organised by Bardez Veterans at Candolim ground, on Sunday.
Calangute on paper were a better team but Nuvem played their hearts out to keep the game goalless till the final hooter. In the tie-breaker Calangute proved to be the better side. Angelo of Nuvem was awarded the man-of-the-match.
