VILLA-MAREX-CHANDOR: Sun Moon Star squeezed past Assolda 2-1 to move into the final of the 17th Villa Marex Chandor Seamen football tournament, at Villa Marex ground, Chandor, on Friday.
In the first half, Assolda got lot of chances to score but they did not succeed.
In the 20th minute, Sun Moon Star scored through Andrew Peixoto who netted the ball into the Assolda net with his power-packed shot.
Few minutes later, Benson Fernandez equalised for Assolda in the 50th minute through a grounder which landed straight into the rival net.
Sun Moon took found the match-winner through William Peixoto’s outstanding curling shot which went into the far corner of Asolda net.
