PANJIM: Suraj Tamburi emerged winner of the traditional badminton tournament organised by Guirdolim Club, at the club house, at Guirdolim, recently.
In the boys singles category Suraj Tamburi of St Joseph Educational Institute Chandor, beat Ashish Harijan 21-14, 18-21, 21-19.
In the men’s doubles finals, Ferito Antao and Shaun D’Costa defeated Suraj Tamburi and Prajyot Pol 21-12, 21-12.
In the men singles, Suresh Khandolkar avenged his last year loss by defeating Darwin Cardoso 20-22, 21-14, 21-9.
Dr Surendra Verenkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Dr Satish Kudchadkar guest of honour, special invitee Sudesh Bhise and Guirdolim Club President Patwin Fizardo.
