PANJIM: Swapnil Naik of Ponda and Pranita Korgaokar of Vasco emerge winners in the men and women sections respectively at 12th Goa State Single Wicket Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, organized by Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association and Kunkloim Sports and Cultural Club, at Kunkolim ground, Priol-Ponda, recently.
In the finals, Swapnil defeated Shrikant Naik of Ponda whereas Pranita defeated Manjushree Bhagat of Vasco.
The successful players were awarded cash and special medallion by CL Patil, police inspector, Goa Police in presence of Ranganath Kunkolikar, panch, Priol Village Panchayat; Shrikant Naik, president, Kunkolim Club and other officials of club.
Altogether, 32 men and 21 women players took part.
Haresh Parsekar, Ajinkya Naik, Hemant Khot, Dilip Naik, Dinesh Dhuri and Sharmila Naik were the technical officials, who conducted the event.
