CHINCHINIM: SWC Zaino defeated St Anthony SC, Marna-Siolim 7-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the 20th Our Lady of Merces eight-a-side inter-village football tournament, organised by Sirlim Sports Club at Church ground, Chinchinim on Wednesday.
Samson Fernandes scored four goals for Zaino in the 12th, 30th, 32nd and 59th minutes. Samson Simoes netted a brace for Zaino in the 24th and 48th minutes. Blasco Fernandes too recorded his name on the scoresheet to make it 7-0 for Zaino in the 48th minute. Sherwin Lobo scored two goals for St Anthony in the 41st and 69th minute.
