PANJIM: The Dr Alvaro Remegio Pinto football ground at Taleigao, is all set to breathe a new life as the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) has already started the maintenance works of the ground.
The authority officials present at the ground mentioned that works include a new drainage system, restoration of the ground, repairing of the existing fence, goal post, spectator area, toilets, adding of new sprinklers on the pitch, water pipe-line, painting and civil works at the player changing rooms.
Further adding, they said there will also be a new road leading to the ground with a newly erected entrance gate and a parking area exclusively for the ground.
They informed that the works is expected to finish by October.
