PANJIM: Goa Offroaders’ Association (GOA) along with Team Fairmont, Mumbai and Health At Home – Hyderabad will participate as a team in the ISUZU RFC India 2018 to be held in the Goa from July 21 to 28.
A total of 5 vehicles will take part in the completion under the banner of GOA, which include two from Faimont, two from GOA and one from Health At Home.
“This is the first time that GOA has made a full fledged team to fight for the title RFC and with the analysis of the last 5 years of the event it was felt that GOA should be formed and compete as one team since it is happening in the state of GOA”, Yogesh Padloskar, President GOA said while addressing the media.
“GOA has its own guidelines of safety and other traffic violations under which the teams will perform. This is purely a motor sports event which is run under safety guidelines which every team has to follow”, he added.
The team has two international riders who have titled thrice in RFC Malaysia which is the toughest event among 35 countries and is confident of keeping the trophy within GOA. The Goan drivers include Cedric D’silva, Floyd Preston, Gaurav Pai Dukle and Sarfaraz Sayed.
