PANJIM: Tiki Taka thumped Samba Boys 4-1 in the M7-Spartacus King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7 FC, at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, on Tuesday.
Tiki Taka started the match on the front foot and didn’t take long to make an impact into the game as they scored early in the game when Haston smashed in a half-volley which gave no chance for the rival keeper.
Down by a goal, Samba Boys regrouped quickly and with a collective team effort levelled terms through Sherwin Lobo.
The teams were leveled 1-1 at the break.
Crossing end, Tiki take’s Haston doubled the lead when he capitalised on a defensive error before hitting past the helpless keeper Aldrige Fernandes.
The goal brought life in the Tiki Taka camp as they totally dominated the play wit he their tiki-taka play and smashed in two more goals through Kevin and Jovio to take the final tally to 4-1.
In the second match, Fr Agnel Pilar got the better of London Boys in the closely contested match.
Both teams started brightly but it was the Pilar team which shot into the lead in the first quarter of the match through Faizal. There was plenty of action on either sides, but both the keeper did a great job to deny more goals.
Post resumption Faizal added the second for his team before Akash pulled a goal back for the London Boys.
In another match, Boom Boom scored a resounding 4-1 win over Fantastic 5. Devendra was the star for his team as he scored all four goals for his side. Siddhanth pulled a goal back for the losing side.
