MARGAO: United Club, Benaulim prevailed over Betalbatim Sporting Club 4-2 via the tie-breaker to storm into the finals of 24th all-Goa Super Soccer inter-village tournament organized by United Boys of Dando-Colva at St John de Baptist ground, Benaulim, Friday. There was no score at full time.
The teams started on an attacking note but as the game progressed, Betalbatim slowly established control but failed to penetrate into the rival area.
Crossing over, the teams failed to score the match-winner. There were stray attempts at but no serious attempts at goal.
In the tie-breaker, Santan Fernandes, Rody Fernandes, Ozie Fernandes, Domingos Fernandes scored for Benaulim while Klinsman Pereira and Dickson Rogtao converted for Betalbatim
Benaulim will now meet Parish Youth Nuvem in the finals on June 16.
