UC Nerul, Sai Avtar advance

United Club of Nerul trounced Youth of Colvale 5-0 in Rajasthan Marbles Trophy football tournament organised by Saligao United, Saligao at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim on Tuesday. They led 2-0 at the break.
Dominating the match, United Club of Nerul took the lead in the 15th minute through Agnelo Lobo off a cross from Augusto Monteiro. 
Augusto consolidated the lead for Nerul  in the 18th minute off a Sydney Monteiro cross.  
Changing over, Nerul scored another goal through Augusto Monteiro off a Sydney cross to make it 3-0 in the 15th minute of the second half. Agnelo Lobo scored the 4th goal off a Michael cross.
Augusto Monteiro then scored in the 25th minute off Pankaj to record his hat-trick, the first of the tournament.
Yesterday, Sai Avtaar, Anjuna scored a solitary goal victory over Goa Velha Sports Club.
Riding on Lady Luck, Sai Avtaar scored in the 25th minute through Rupesh Kotkar who dribbled past a couple of defenders and placed into the net giving no chance to the Goa Velha keeper.
Down by a goal, Goa Velha tried all the tricks at their disposal but failed to produce the equalizer.
 Goa Velha forwards especially Gerald Pires tried level best but failed to score.  
Gerald Pires was declared man-of-the match for splendid performance.
