CHINCHINIM: United Boys of Palolem thumped Varca 6-0 to move into the semi- finals of the CRC Chinchinim Cup, at CRC Chinchinim ground, on Monday.
Both teams started the match on forefront moves and just in the second minute Palolem through Austin Diniz should have netted but the latters’ move was tackled by Varca’s Velroy D’Cruz
At the other end, Dylan Lima took control of the ball from Valent Rodrigues and dribbled past the defenders of Palolem and shot from close range but the Palolem keeper was equal to the task in the 4th minute.
It was Palolem’s Austin Diniz who netted the first goal of the match with a curling shot in the 5th minute.
Five minutes later, Ranchen D’Souza’s ground shot made it 2-0.
In the 15th minute, Austin Diniz made it 3-0. 21 minutes later, Ranchen D’Souza made it 4-0.
Ranchen netted his hat-trick to make it 5-0 in the 38th minute and finally Caetano Fernandes made it 6-0 in the 56th minute.
