MARGAO: Nayal Sports Club, Borim defeated Sarvodaya Sporting Club, Kalay by 98 runs in the South Zone III A Division Cricket League organized by Goa Cricket Association, at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, here, Wednesday.
Batting first, Nayal Sports Club scored 248 for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 40 overs. Darshan Patil cracked unbeaten 98 runs with the help of eight boundaries and two sixes while Paresh Agolkar contributed 39 useful runs. For Sarvodaya, Vishant Sawant and Prashant Lainder shared tow wickets apiece.
In reply, Sarvodaya Sporting Club were bundled out at 150 in 27.2 overs. Atul Yadav 15, AnkushKhutkar 13, Amrish Gaonkar 33, Prashant Lainder 16, Pranam Desai 24 managed to cross double digit. Akshay Korde was the wrecker-in-chief scalping four for 28 runs.
