MARGAO: United Club of Utorda prevailed over hosts Nuvem Sports Club 6-4 via the tie-breaker to storm into the semi-finals of 4th all-Goa Mae dos Pobres inter-village football tournament church ground, Nuvem, Thursday. The teams were tied 2-2 at full time.
Nuvem took the lead through striker Joe Colaco. Utorda neutralized the lead after striker Mevilton Fernandes’ rampaging strike beat the rival goalkeeper.
Nevilton Fernandes put Utorda into the lead after the break. However, their joy was shortlived after Savio Fernandes restored parity.
In the tie-breaker, Lester Gomes, Flyod Fernandes, Mevilton Fernandes and Neves Mendes were on target for Utorda while Richard Fernandes and Savio Colaco converted for Nuvem.
