PANJIM: Vailankani Boys blanked St Caitan, Merces 2-0 to advance into the quarter-finals of All-Goa 7-a-side Anton Joao Memorial football tournament organised by Kraftwork Nites at St Agostinho ground, St Cruz, on Thursday.
Govind and Suraj netted one goal each for the winners.
Vailankanni had the chance to score atleast two more goals but their strikers failed to convert their chances.
St Caitan team got one yellow card for unsporting behaviour.
St Caitan Merces tried their best to score but they simply couldn’t surpass the stubborn rival defence.
