CEC Gyanesh Kumar Urges Goa to Aim for 95% Voter Turnout

Panaji: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has urged voters in Goa to target a 95% turnout in the upcoming elections, calling on citizens to exercise their franchise and strengthen the democratic process.

Kumar emphasised the importance of greater voter participation and encouraged Goans to turn out in large numbers and make their voices count.

When asked whether the Goa polls could be advanced to December, the Chief Election Commissioner gave a brief response, saying, “Samay par hoga”, indicating that the elections would be held on schedule.

His remarks come amid growing attention on the timing of the Goa elections, with the Election Commission stressing the need for strong voter participation.
