Vailankanni Boys, Gridiron score fluent wins

PANJIM: Vailankanni Boys Merces scored a fluent 4-0 win over Simon Stones in the M7-Spartacus King of the Week Futsal Tournament, organised by M7FC at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim on Thursday.
The Merces side took an early lead in the second minute through Domnic before doubling the tally in the fifth minute through Alwin in the third minute. Simon Stones were of no match to their opponents who showed great composure in the short format as they netted their third in just five minute through Krishna.
The winners led 3-0 at the break. Vailankanni Boys played possession play before they drew the final nail in the rival coffin through Joel.
The second well contested match between Carlos United and Gridiron ended with the latter proving their supremacy with Llyod smashing a fine hat-trick for the winners.
Llyod scored in the first minute when Carlos United’s Kanak failed to clear the ball in the danger area. Within minutes Llyod doubled the lead with a long range shot. At the other end, Carlos United’s Viraj pulled a goal back when he smashed in a volley off a perfect thrown from Aaron. 
Llyod completed his hat-trick in the fourth minute of play with a sublime finish. Winners led 3-1 at the break. Dale scored the fourth but Aaron pulled another back for Carlos United. Gridiron survived a late Carlos Untied scare as Aaron made it 3-4 just before the final whistle.
In the third match, Gridiron played a 1-1 draw against Shiv Sai Chimbel. Keegan handed a fourth minute lead for Gridiron however, they couldn’t hold on for long as Shiv Sai Chimbel neutralised in the very same minute through Elesh.
