VALPOI: Valpoi Football Club thumped Live It Sports Club 4-0 in the finals to emerge champions of, winners of 1st All-Goa 7-a-side football tournament organized by Youth Club of Valpoi at municipal ground, Valpoi, recently.
Mansoor Khan scored the opening goal for Valpoi in the sixth minute. In the 10th minute, a powerful shoot from Abdul Khan outside the danger zone gave Valpoi a 2-0 lead. After the breather, Mansoor made it 3-0 and in the dying minutes, Devraj Naik drove the final nail into the rival coffin. Valpoi received Rs 20,000 and a trophy while Live It got Rs 10,000.
Mansoor Khan was adjudged man-of-the-tournament for his outstanding performance.
