Churchill face Salgaocar, Faria meet Sesa FA

Vasco Sports Club scored a 2-0 win against Goa Velha Sports Club in Kingfisher Goa Pro League match at Tilak Maidan, here on Saturday. There was no score at the break.
Donald Rocha and Prajot Naik scored in the second half after Goa Velha showed good resilience to hold Vasco for nearly 62 minutes.
Vasco who were a struggling lot, managed to get the opener in the 62nd minute, thanks to a fine goal by Rocha, who struck a perfect back volley as he connected a cross from Ramos Gomes.
Vasco doubled the lead at the fag end after Prajot Naik in the 82nd minute.
Meanwhile, Sesa head coach Clifford Chukwuma is backing his young side to produce the goods as they get set to battle it out with Faria Sports Management in Kingfisher Pro League at Duler Stadium, here on Sunday, adds our Sports Reporter from Mapusa.
Clifford has been recently looking for his opponents and has been impressed with their fighting spirit. “Faria have a good fighting spirit and prefer to sit back and try to hit their opponents on the counter, but we are ready and I am sure my men will take the fight to them.”
Sesa have lost both their matches to good opponents Salgaocar and Dempo. Faria have been the dark horses of the League so far, collecting five points from four matches. After their first match defeat to Salgaocar, they have defeated Churchill Brothers and have taken a point from Vasco Sports Club and Sporting Clube de Goa.
In another mouth-watering tie at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, top of the table Salgaocar Sports club who have collected nine points from three will take on Churchill Brothers Sports Club, who have only a point from two outings.
