PANJIM: Vasco RCC defeated Panjim RCC by five wickets in the low scoring final to emerge champions of the U-14 Saurabh Sardesai memorial inter-RCC cricket tournament, organised by Vasco Warriors Cricket Academy, at SAG ground, Chicalim, recently.
Put to bat by Vasco RCC, Panjim RCC inning was bundled out for just 80 runs in 29.5 overs. Udit Yadav (19) was the top scorer for Panjim.
Jay Patel (3/14) was the pick of Vasco bowlers. Survesh Pagi took two wickets.
In reply, Arsh Sardesai scored unbeaten 30 runs as Vasco RCC reached the target in the 24th over with five wickets in hand.
Manish Pai Kakode impressed with the bowl for Panjim taking three wickets.
Arsh Sardesai of Vasco RCC was awarded the man of the match award.
