MAPUSA: Velsao SCC managed to edge past Sesa FA 2-1 in a Reliance Foundation Development League match at Sirsaim ground, today.

The Sesa lads, playing on their own turf, found their opponents to be better marksmen. Velsao had the better of the exchanges as well as attempts at the rival goal. After much probing they finally scored in the 29th minute with Sunny Kumar heading the ball off a corner.
It was in the 39th minute that Sesa levelled terms with Ngathem Mettei driving home a scorching right footer from outside the penalty box which beat Velsao’s custodian Pranav Kotarkar hands down.
On crossing ends, Velsao time and again attacked the rival citadel but their strikers did not have the required sharpness.
It was in the 79th minute another poor defending by Sesa saw Sunny Kumar scoring his brace.
