VELSAOPALE: Velsao Sports and Cultural Club and Cortalim Villagers played out a 1-1 draw in the GFA Second Division football match, played at Velsao ground, on Sunday.
Bextor Fernandes opened the account for Velsao in the 8th minute. Within ten minutes, Samuel D’Souza equalised for Cortalim Villagers.
In another match at Goa Velha ground, Dempo Sports Club Juniors thrashed St Sebastian SC 4-1.
Dempo Jrs opened the account in the 13th minute through Vincy Barretto. Just as Dempo SC were attacking in search of another goal, the opponents scored against the run of play as Banford Gonsalved equalised for St Sebastian SC in the 29th minute.
Boris Demelo gave the Panjim team the lead just before the break with a simple tap in.
Crossing over, Vincy netted his brace and team’s third in the 67th minute while Jason Lucas scored the fourth in the injury time.
