PANJIM: A four-goal blitz by Viraj Naik helped Fr. Agnel Higher Secondary School, Verna trounced Jawaharlal Higher Secondary School, Fatorda 7-1 in the boys group one of Zone III Higher Secondary Schools Football League 2014-15.
For Fr. Agnel, Viraj Naik scored in the 10th, 30th, 45th and 69th minutes while Aaron Rodrigues (5th), Shankar (60th) and Celson (65th) were the other scorers.
Savio Gomes reduced the lone goal for Jawaharlal in the 20th minute.
A fine brace by Delroy Rodrigues pushed MES, Zuarinagar to a 4-1 victory over Deepvihar, Sada.
Delroy completed his brace in the 7th and 47th minutes. Rajput Biswajeet (15th) and Lucas (26th) also scored.
Anand Varad reduced the margin in the 40th minute for Deepvihar.
In Zone IV, St. Alex, Curtorim thrashed Pope John, Quepem 4-0.

In the Zone I girls, St Xavier, Mapusa mauled Harmal Panchakroshi, Harmal 13-0.
