PANJIM: Waddeshwar Cricketers, Sadetim-Chorao won the all-Goa limited overs tennis ball cricket tournament organized by Sateri Gowleshwar Sports Club, Chorao, at the Saude ground, Chorao, recently.
In the final, Wadeshwar Cricketers defeated Rampurush, Mayem by 30 runs. Wadeshwar elected to bat first and in three overs scored 59 runs by losing three wickets. In their chase, Rampurush managed to score 25 runs.
The winners were awarded Rs 5,000 plus trophy while the runners-up took home Rs 3,000 and a trophy.
Individual prizes awarded were: Best batsman Sainath Korgaoncar, best player in the final Ashish Volvaikar, best bowler Yatin Chodankar and man-of-the-series Vishwajeet.
Chief guest Millind Homkhandi and guest of honour Niwas Betkekar gave away the prizes. In all, 32 teams participated.
