MARGAO: Ave Maria AWC and Wilred Leisure SC, Curtorim played out an entertaining 3-3 draw after a goalless first session in the GFA’s U-1 football league match, at Curtorim ground, on Tuesday.
Ave Maria broke the deadlock through Ryan Fernandes in the 41st minute while Mazroy Fernandes doubled the advantage minutes later.
Preston Fernandes made it 3-0 in the 57th minute but Wilred Leisure SC came up with a remarkable turnaround.
First, Joy Hilario pulled a goal back in the 59th minute which inspired Keith Rodrigues to further reduce the margin in the 70th minute.
Three minutes later, Joy secured his brace to make it 3-3.
