MANORA-RAIA: Youth Club of Manora blanked CAC Cansaulim 2-0 to move into the final of the Youth Club of Manora All Goa football tournament, at Manora ground, on Saturday.
Manora coach Remy Barbosa gave extra task to Joyson Gauncar and Lloyd Cardozo to take control of midfield and forward line while Cansaulim coach Tony Cardozo gave his orders to Domnic Soares to control the defence line and forward line too.
It was Joyson Gauncar who netted the first goal of the match with a placement shot in the 23rd minute off Klinson Mendes’ assist. Later in the 26th minute, Domnic Soares of Cansaulim missed the target by whiskers.
As the match progressed, in the 37th minute, Leston Cardozo sent in a cross to Lloyd Cardozo who was prowling into Cansaulim box rose high took a glancing header to double the account for Manora.
Youth Club of Manora will now meet the winner of Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna and Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda in the final on August 25.
