AMBELIM: Youth Club of Manora trounced United Club of Telaulim 4-1 in the Geno-Goa Football Association 1st Division League match played at Ambelim ground, on Tuesday.
There was no score at the break as all the five goals were scored in the second session .
Danny Fernandes broke the deadlock in the 68th minute for Manora and once the deadlock was broken, Telaulim looked to give up on their game as they soon conceded two more goals in the span of two minutes as Imamsab Guledgudda scored a brace netting a goal each in the 72nd and 74th minutes.
Manora were up 3-0 in the span of six minutes.
Telaulim who struggled throughout the league campaign finally managed to reduce the deficit in the 86th minute but Manora weren’t done yet as they had more plans to score. Francis Andrade scored the team’s fourth goal in the 90th minute as they took the final score to 4-1.
Manora’s Imamsab was named the man-of-the-match for his splendid performance and a brace.
Manora’s Safik Shaikh and Hilton Fernandes went into the referee’s books for rough play while Telaulim’s Liston Colaco also picked-up a yellow.
