MAPUSA: Young Boys of Aradi scored a fluent 3-0 win over Remedious in the Silver Sands inter-ward football tournament, organised by United Boys of Camotim, played at Candolim ground, on Tuesday.
The winners shocked their rivals in the firstminute when Mouger D’Souza set up Shankar Palyenkar who on dribbling his way past the Remedious defenders slammed the ball home, 1-0.
Couple of minutes into the match Joao Colaco doubled the lead for Aradi when he guided in Jackson Fernandes cross, 2-0.
Remedious came teasingly close to reducing the margin in the 38th minute of play when Derrick D’Mello’s header from close range hit the upright.
The winners led 2-0 at the break.
In the 52nd minute of play Aradi further inflated the margin when Deepak Redkar got hold of the ball from Vilroy Rego and slotted the ball past the stranded Remedious keeper, 3-0.
Young Boys totally dominated the match.
