GUIRDOLIM: Youth of Signals defeated Junior Mount Boys 6-4 to clinch the 8 a-side inter-ward SFX trophy organized by Youth of St Francis Xavier Guirdolim, at Signal grounds, recently.
Velroy netted the first goal for Junior Mount Boys in the 6th minute while Santan doubled the lead in the 10th minute. Velroy scored again in the 12th minute while Santan scored his second and fourth for his team in the 14th minute for Junior Mount Boys taking the tally to 4-0.
Youth of Signals came back from behind to score six goals which came from the boots of Irwin who scored a brace in the 16th and 18th minute while Cyrus, Suraj and Kevin scored a goal each in the 20th, 22nd and 24th minutes respectively.
Joylan scored in the 36th minute for the Youth of Signals making it 6-4, to help his team clinch the trophy.
Individual prizes: Best goalkeeper: Akram of Youth of Signals, Best defender: Benny Youth of Signals and Player of tournament: Santan Junior Mount Boys.
