In a tragic incident, the lifeless body of an unknown person was found floating in a well near Ganpati Temple at Khorlim, Mapusa. Mapusa Fire and Emergency Services immediately reached the site and began investigating the matter.
On Friday morning a distress call was received by the Mapusa fire and emergency services team from the locals stating that the dead body of an unknown person was found floating in a well near Ganpati Temple at Khorlim, Mapusa. Firefighters along with Mapusa police reached the spot and immediately a rescue operation to retrieve the body from the well was initiated.

No information regarding the man was found by the police. Nearby residents and locals were interrogated about the man’s whereabouts but no one knew about the victim. Police suspect that the man might be in his 30s and was a worker, yet they are not sure about their suspicion. The well was around 23 feet deep and it had thorny bushes at the bottom with plastic and other waste.
Quickly ambulance was called and the body was taken to the hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating this matter and more details are awaited.
