In continuation to the circular issued in June 2021 and keeping in mind the Action 18 of the Goa, Daman and Diu School Education Act, 1984, the department said that Heads of the Institutions having Nursery classes be informed the age for pre primary education has been relaxed by six months.

Sources in the Education Department told Herald said that since many parents were finding it difficult to get their child/ children admitted for nursery owing to the age limit at 3 years, the department took this decision. The fresh circular will enable children of two and half years and above to get admissions for nursery.
