CURCHOREM: ‘Amcho Ekvott’ a group consisting of residents of Mapa-Panchwadi observed Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. They also conducted cleanliness drive and collected garbage including plastic waste from their residential area and panchayat premises and loaded five vehicles with garbage and waste. They also distributed plastic bags to the residents to collect the dry and wet garbage separately.
A door-to-door waste collection campaign was also started from Capxem-Panchwadi and concluded Dabolim-Shiroda.
The President of Amcho Ekvott Bruno D’Souza urged residents to keep their surroundings clean. Sarpanch Vishal Gaonkar was also present.
