Goa clash with Meghalaya

MAPUSA, JUNE 20 Goa take on Meghalaya in their last quarter-final group match in Dr B.C Roy trophy U-19 Junior Nationals at Mohun Bagan ground, Kolkata at 3.30 p.m. on Monday. Karnataka are currently leading the group with six points after two wins. Goa and Uttarakhand have three points each after winning and losing one match each.

Goa take on Meghalaya in their last quarter-final group match in Dr B.C Roy trophy U-19 Junior Nationals at Mohun Bagan ground, Kolkata at 3.30 p.m. on Monday.
Karnataka are currently leading the group with six points after two wins. Goa and Uttarakhand have three points each after winning and losing one match each. Meghalaya have lost both their matches but still have a small chance of clinching one of the two semi-final spots which are up for grabs.
Defender Shane Tumedo is set to start as Meldon D’Silva is suspended and Jesvmon Carvalho is recovering from stitches to the head after a brave collision with an opponent in the last match. Mario Lobo comes back into the defence after suspension.
Captain Myron Fernandes has aggravated his knee ligament which was troubling him and Godfrey Silva maybe handed his debut to partner Pandhari Chopdekar upfront in the attacking line-up.
Speaking to Herald, Goa U-19 manager Mario Aguiar said, “There is a relaxed atmosphere within the camp, but the boys know what is expected of them.”
Goa probable line-up: Albino Vales, Raju Haldankar, Mario Lobo, Shane Temudo, James Fernandes, Brandon Fernandes, Allwyn Fernandes, Lyndon Pereira, Edberg Sequeira, Pandhari Chopdekar, Godfrey Silva.
