PONDA: Former chairman Rajesh Faldesai on Saturday said with corruption prevailing in Goa Dairy, the farmers will never allow the dairy to become another Sanjivani sugar factory.
Addressing media persons, he accused the Goa Dairy’s acting Managing Director Anil Fadte of misleading the people by levelling false allegations against him simply because he has raised voice against corruption and commissions in the Goa Dairy.
He challenged Fadte to prove his allegations and threatened to file a defamatory case against him.
Faldesai’s remarks come a day after Fadte, who on Friday had alleged a scam in the Goa Dairy functioning during past two consecutive terms wherein he accused four former chairmen including Rajesh Faldesai of committing fraud in the purchase of buffalo milk and cattle feed raw material to the tune of Rs 13 crore.
It may be recalled that recently Faldesai along with Shivanand Pednekar said they had raised voice against malpractices in the Goa Dairy but despite the corruption in the dairy functioning, Fadte levelled corruption charges against Faldesai.
