VASCO: Director of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus Prof. Raghurama G will inaugurate two newly built synthetic basketball courts on February 27, at BITS Pilani, Goa campus, at 5:30 p.m.
These all-weather synthetic basketball courts are being introduced in Goa for the first time at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus.
The courts are fully synthetic and built as per international parameters and standards.
The courts, along with exclusive player sitting gallery and a spectator sitting gallery is built at expense of around Forty Lakhs.
The courts will be best suited during the monsoon as even after a heavy rain, it can be cleared in about 15 minutes to provide a slip free court to the players.
The two courts would enable both boys’ and girls’ team to practice simultaneously without any inconvenience.
The college aims to reform its previous two courts as well to match the new ones in the near future.
These courts will give students a chance to experience world class facilities while playing and BITS Goa can proudly host basketball tournaments of both national and international level in future.
