MARGAO: The Chief Officer of the MMC has removed four vehicles that were abandoned beside roads in Borda.
On Thursday, after a council meeting that unanimously supported the decision, Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik had four dilapidated vehicles removed. The police have kept the vehicles on the ring road temporarily.
Incidentally, the United Goans Welfare Front had written to the MMC and Superintendent of Police about these vehicles. Following a recommendation of Margao PI Mohan Gaude, the MMC had published an advertisement on February 3 advising people to remove their vehicles abandoned on roadsides in Margao.
