Vasco: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Goa chief Jose Philip D’Souza Thursday demanded a permanent solution to the Mormugao Port Trust-related coal pollution and health hazards which people from Vasco are facing.
“Enough is enough and somewhere this pollution due to coal transportation should stop” D Souza said.

Countering reasons given by the MPT workers Union in support of coal handling in MPT, D Souza asks if for thousand odd people, who are dependent on the coal handling operations in the port, they should let over a lakh of other people living there to suffer and die due to pollution.
