Shet was accompanied by Mayem ZP Shankar Chodankar, Mayem Sarpanch Urvi Masurkar and other panch members. On the occasion, Shet assured the agitating workers that he would come out with an amicable solution over this issue and called upon the workers to extend their cooperation for the same.
Union President Nilesh Karbotkar and general secretary Bala Khan Gori brought to the notice of Speaker that the company has stopped the mining activities only on the issue of accepting Adv Ajeetsingh Rane as the leader of their union. He also made it clear that they would continue the agitation until their demand of accepting Adv Rane is fulfilled by the company. Speaker assured them that he would put forth their views before the CM.

It may be recalled that Sesa Goa employees have been agitating since last 20 days. Demands put forth by them are to accept Adv Rane as the leader of their union; the company should stop the night shift and should stop hire and fire policy.
