CHINCHINIM: The football fraternity in Goa on Friday mourned the demise of Fr Bruno Leitao who was also a great footballer.
Fr Leitao who hailed from Chinchinim represented Rosary Higher Secodnary School team which took part in the Subroto Cup 1997-98 edition in Delhi.

He also played alongside the likes of Climax Lawrence. Fr Bruno represented the Goa U-19 team in 1998. He also captained The Union Villagers of Chinchinim in the third division which earned promotion to the GFA second division league in 2013.
Besides, Fr Bruno played against many veteran teams for the priests and played in many exhibition matches. He also participated in promoting vocation tournaments.
Ex-CRC Chinchinim and Union of Chinichinim Villagers player Eloy Ribeiro, GFA member Valento Conceicao, GFA vice-president South Goa Anthony Pango, GFA executvie member Cosme Oliveira condoled the untimely death.
