PANJIM: The first edition of Goy Olympia 2017 will be held from January 4-8, at Peddem ground, Mapusa.
In a press conference held at Art and Culture, Panjim, president of Goy Olympia Rahul Kamat told the media about the event and said that Goy Olympia will be hosting a marathon.
He also informed that there will be 21 games which will be divided in boys and girls category and will be played from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.during January 4-8.
Members present at the conference were Goy Olympia president Rahul Kamat, treasurer Vibhuti Kamat, South Goa coordinator Meghvi Pangam, North Goa coordinator Sneha Kotkal and Olympia curator Varad Karmali.
The event will be targetting the colleges from across the state. Plans are afoot on holding a one of a kind event in athletics.
College representatives from North Goa and South Goa were present for the press conference.
The t-shirts for the event were released during the event.
