A major fire broke out at a Restaurant’s storage room in Monteiro Wada, Anjuna on Saturday. The owner, identified as Naveen Kashyap, reported a fire outbreak at approximately 10:47 a.m. Fire and emergency services quickly rushed to the site. The fire was eventually contained, and the situation was brought under control by 12:17 p.m.
While the fire department managed to save an estimated amount of 10 lacs rupees, the incurred loss is substantial, approximated at around 1,50,000 rupees. The on-site assessment indicated significant damage to various items, including furniture, a bed, a mattress, important documents, two cupboards, iron sheets, rafters, and various miscellaneous items.
The specific cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are expected to ensue to ascertain the root of this unfortunate occurrence.
