PANJIM: The GCA managing committee has still not decided on who will foot the bill of the lawyers representing the arrested trio of Chetan Desai, Vinod Phadke and Akbar Mulla.
When this question was posed to the GCA vice-president Venkatesh Prabhudesai, he said, “There is already a resolution taken by managing committee with regards representing GCA in the Supreme Court in the intervention filed by Hemant Angle.”
But Prabhudesai had no answers on the current issue as the case is not against GCA but the individuals.
“As of now there is no decision, in coming days we will let you know,” he said.
When questioned about GCA functioning in the absence of the trio, he said, “it is functioning smoothly and there is no issue at all.”
Asked about how the finances are managed, he said, “as of now we have petty cash, but we will see once the bail matter is settled in the court.”
