MAPUSA: Bengaluru FC U-16 drubbed Sporting Clube de Goa U-16 4-0 in the U16 Asian Youth League match played at Duler stadium, on Monday.
It was (Rahul 9’, Amay 40’, Lalrinzuala 61’, Nonganba 64’) who did the scoring act for the Bengaluru colts.
Having won their earlier league match against Salgaocar FC, the Blue Colts have now scored eight goals and conceded just one in the Rest of India, Zone-I group.
In the 9th minute Rahul receiving a square pass from Lalrinzuala, slammed the ball home, 1-0.
The John Kila-coached side went in at the break having doubled their advantage with midfielder Amay Morajkar scoring at the top corner of the goal from 25 yards strike.
On crossing over the Blue colts pumped in two more goals through Lalrinzuala 61’, Nonganba 64’.
Minutes later after scoring the goal, Nonganba was sent off for a second bookable offense.
The Blue Colts will face Dempo SC U16s needing just a point to qualify to the final rounds from the Rest of India Zone-I, at the same venue on Wednesday.
In the evening match Dempo SC and Salgaocar FC played a 2-2 draw.
