Of late the shopkeepers, chemist shops and market vendors are refusing to accept the Rs 10 coins for no valid reason. On being questioned they give some vague reasons.
These coins are a legal tender and refusing to accept it can lead to complications to the errant shopkeepers. The RBI has not issued any notification regarding the discontinuation of the same and some sort of circular should be issued by the authorities to eliminate this problem faced by the common people.
