VALPOI: The water resources department Karapur Tisk, Sankhali, have issued a notice to two Dhangar Samaj families who are living in Saleli village, in Sattari. The notice was issued a week ago. The water resources department says the encroachment and illegal construction was on agriculture plot acquired for the rehabilitation of the people affected by the Anjunem irrigation project under survey no. 30 of village Saleli in Sattari Taluka.
In the notice, they were directed to remove all encroachment made by them and also told to demolish all structures, temporary or permanent before 30th May 2017.
The two Dhangar family members and the Dhangar Samaj President B D Mote met the Chief minister at his residence and submitted a memorandum. They demanded justice to Saleli village Dhangar people, settle the land matter of the Dhangar community of Sattari taluka, clear the pending cases of Atal Asray Yojana and solve the issue of Samaj Mandir land.
Mote said the CM promised to solve the matter in a positive manner
