CANACONA: A Gaondogrem resident has been arrested for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman at Chaudi on Monday evening.
According to Canacona police, the incident took place when the accused Nagesh Velip allegedly outraged the modesty of a woman when she had tried to board a bus at the KTC bus stand, Chaudi.
Acting swiftly on the woman’s complaint, the Canacona police rushed to the site and arrested Nagesh and conducted the panchanama in the presence of two witnesses.
A case has been registered against the accused at the Canacona police station under sections 341, 509 and 354-A of IPC.
