MARGAO: Sarfaraj Ahmed (18), resident of Nessai accidentally fell into a pond and drowned at Nessai.

According to Maina Curtorim Police, Sarfaraj had gone near Lalmitti panchayat ground, Curtorim, along with his friends to take bath in a pond. The incident took place when he attempted to enter into water and accidentally fell into it and got drowned.
The body was fished out by his friends and later shifted to Margao Hospicio Hospital. However, he was declared brought dead by the doctor present.
Maina Curtorim Police said that the body has been preserved for post mortem examination and a report is awaited. Meanwhile, the police have ruled out any foul play.
