NCP Goa President Jose Philip D’Souza said the central leadership of the party will take a final call on any alliance but that the aim is to win the elections and form the next government.

When asked how many seats NCP is likely to contest, D’souza said they are looking at a sizable chunk of the seats, having learnt from the 2017 elections. When asked to give a number, he said tentatively 10 and added that they have the capacity to go to 15-20 seats as well. However, he reiterated that the central leadership will decide on this after considering all factors including if an alliance with other parties does materialise in the future.
