As we celebrate the 160th anniversary of Dr. Francisco Luis Gomes entering the Portuguese Parliament, the road named in his honor in Vasco has caved in. This is due to the relentless digging of the road to lay a gas pipeline by Adani. On Monday, Adani’s contractor ruptured 5 pipelines rendering the town without water. Previously, the contractor had rendered the Port town without power for 22 hours. On Tuesday, due to incessant digging, the Francisco Luis Gomes road caved in, leaving a huge crater on the road.
