PANJIM: With the exit of Sunburn and Vh1 Supersonic from Goa, tourism stakeholders in the State, hoping for a crowd with an international event announced the first boutique music and art festival from January 27 to 29 next year.
The three-day multi-genre festival by GOAT Music, London will take place on the beaches of Ashwem and Morjim. The music and events agency is founded by Dave Gaydon and Lou Birkett.
The festival will feature two stages alongside three alternative performance spaces. After 10 pm, the festival will move to two night-time venues close to the festival grounds. GOAT seeks to showcase alternative India through art, design, fashion and gastronomy. There will be wellbeing workshops and yoga sessions available through the day alongside onsite spa therapies.
There will be a chance to interact with likeminded people through dance and art workshops, storytelling and pop-up restaurants, which will serve local delicacies using sustainable produce.
For those with an adventurous streak, watersports such as surfing and paddle boarding will be an attractive option, as per organizers.
